Bauhaus Östersund

Ecostruct Innovations AB has produced the architectural construction documents (Bygghandling) for the new BAUHAUS store in Östersund, part of Lillänge Retail Park together with JYSK and Chop Chop. We ensured that the design complies with both the municipal building permit (Bygglov) and the requirements for Miljöbyggnad 4.0 Silver.

From the very beginning, sustainability guided every decision. Our team also carried out BIM coordination, energy calculations, and prepared all key Miljöbyggnad indicators, including:

• Energy Use, Heating Power Demand, and Solar Heat Load - to secure low energy consumption and prevent overheating.
• Climate Impact - to minimize greenhouse gas emissions from materials and operations.
• Thermal Comfort (Winter and Summer) - to guarantee a healthy and pleasant indoor climate all year round.
• Flexibility & Disassembly and Circular Material Flows - to enable future adaptation, reuse, and recycling of materials.

The result is a modern, energy-efficient, and climate-resilient retail building that meets high environmental standards and supports long-term circular construction.
